Just hope you understand.Īudacity certainly should be cleaning up its temporary files after usage. If any of you could help with this I would greatly appreciate it! But if I can be so bold, please use VERY simple language - because as I said before, I'm not all that computer literate and don't really understand the terminology. Initially, I started out with the Audacity message stating I had over 11 hours of disk space and now show only about 10 hours. My own feeble attempt in trying to resolve this problem was to open the Audacity_data file and then selecting all the sub-files and then deleting. My biggest fear is that I will get down to 0 disk space and then no longer be able to convert my record (vinyl) albums - which was my main objective in purchasing the turntable! And since I don't save any Audacity projects - instead exporting the MP3 format immediately, followed by exporting immediately to iTunes and then deleting the original file - I can't figure out (1) What is eating up my disk space (2) What disk space are they talking about (3) And how do I stop this? As far as hard drive space - I still have plenty! But when transferring the audio from turntable to computer in the Audacity program, the disk usage message shows a continual decline in space. While I have been very happily converting vinyl records to MP3 format I have noticed one thing that concerns me. and admittedly, not all that computer literate.ĪNYWAY, I purchased a USB turntable that came with Audacity software.
